My Story

Willow is an amazing, young, adorable and gentle piggy.... Willow has been with us a very long time - he gets passed up .... why? his eyes? he's not as pretty as the others? Well, he is a great GP and needs a loving home! Can't you consider him? Stop by to spend time with him.... He is one of a group of Guinea pigs that was found discarded in a picnic basket in the parking lot of a local firehouse. Willow and his litter mates were very lucky that a alert animal lover spotted the basket and brought it to our shelter. Willow is an all-white albino Guinea pig with pink eyes and a laid-back disposition. He loves to hang out in his shelter and wait for someone to bring him greens and carrots. Willow has been to the vet and is SO READY to go home now! Piggies can live up to 7 yrs, they love to have space to run around and play. They require unbroken floor space; they are not climbing critters! Depending on their personality, one guinea pig may enjoy being cuddled immediately, while another may take a few months before it enjoys any human interaction. Some may only enjoy being pet... If you have more than one; they love to "talk" to each other. It's good to give them a safe "hiding place" along with the room to roam in a large cage. Piggies should have fresh, washed leafy greens each day, such as kale or broccoli, which are excellent sources of Vitamin C. they don't naturally eat fruit or root vegetables, but you can give them in small amounts as treats, such as small pieces of carrot or an apple quarter. They make fun, entertaining and lovable pets! Stop in soon to meet ours! Our adoption fee is $25 for small animals.
