My Story

Wheek Wheek is a sweet 1-year-old male guinea pig. He was surrendered to us from a family who loved him very much but couldn't keep him in their current living situation. He previously lived with kids and did very well! He is currently living in a foster home in a cage beside another guinea pig and doing well. We think Wheek Wheek might do well with another male friend or could go home as a solo pig if he had plenty of attention. He loves hanging out in his pigloo and eating veggies. Guinea pigs are active, gentle, relatively low-maintenance pets that love companionship and make great pets for gentle children six years old and up. Guinea pigs are happiest when they have a clean cage and lots of socialization time with their person. They require fresh hay and greens (lettuce, parsley, basil, etc.) daily, and adopters should consider this expense when adding a guinea pig to their family. If you would like to adopt a guinea pig, rabbit, or another small critter, please fill out our adoption application: medfieldshelter.com/adopt Our guinea pig adoption fee is $25 for one or $35 for a same-sex pair.
