SPECIAL NEEDS Guinea Pig Brothers
Biscuit: Tri-Color Male (1 yr old as of June, 2024)
Toast: Light Brown/White (1 yr old as of June 2024)
These two cuties have been with us since Dec. 2023 when they were turned in by their owner. Toast we believe is blind in one eye: the result of a birth defect or previous injury before he came to us. He (and Biscuit) have been fully vetted. The eye has stayed the same and we have a simple spray med if it gets red or swollen to take care of it. It has worked wrll for him.
That said, the reason for the “Special Needs” is to ensure that Biscuit (the one with both eyes) does not eat more than his share of veggies, fruits and treats. Typical brotherly behavior – they’ll fuss at each other one minute and the next minute they are napping in a circle. Thank you for considering a special needs pet! We hardly know he has any issue at all and the eye redness was relieved by using our vet spray. And as per the vet he is not in distress.
