My Story

Check out her videos! Meet Sunflower, the sweet girl who, although may be a bit nervous, is friendly and social and ready to become a part of your family! Sunflower lived in the same room with another Guinea Pig and enjoyed chatting with her from across the way, however Sunflower would like to have her own space. Here is what her foster mom had to say about her: "She's starting to come out of her shell a bit, and wheeking more. She is one of the easiest piggies I've ever had in terms of being picked up - it's obvious she's used to it. She seems really sweet, she's starting to take food from my hand now, really seems to like being petted, top of the head, behind the ears. She seems unphased by the cats in the house. When she gets out of cage time, if you put a blanket over her play pen you can hear her racing around and playing." Sunflower also likes music and being sung to. She doesn't care how well you sing and doesn't seem to have a music preference. Guinea pigs are incredibly social animals who need to be kept in pairs/groups to thrive. They need lots of space to run around in, and toys to keep them active and enriched! They should get daily "floor time" outside of their cage. This time outside of the cage will be great for bonding and growing closer with them! Diet Requirements: -Grass hay available at all times -Small amount of timothy pellets -Daily Vitamin C - can get from veggies like red pepper, kale, mustard greens, dandelion greens, and other leafy greens. Cage Requirements: Many cages sold at pet stores are too small for guinea pigs. We can talk with you about the best options during your adoption call. The adoption fee for guinea pigs is $35, if you adopt a pair or trio the adoption fee is $35 for the group of friends.
