Favorite treats: Cheerios and pasta Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Rat Food Favorite toys and activities: Snuggling with his cate mates. Potty trained: He and his cage mates use the litter box 90% of the time. This animal’s daily routine: These boys are all very flexible with their routine, they enjoy several visits throughout the day with offerings for treats and a head scratch or two. Their foster spends at least an hour a day working with them to become more comfortable with handling. BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Toaster Oven, Stovetop, Dishwasher, & Microwave are a bonded group and must be adopted together. Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: These rats have been near several species and don't seem bothered by anything. Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? None Health concerns: Stovetop has recently recovered from a URI so we are monitoring for reoccurrence. He also has a small mass on his belly that has been consistent in size over the last month that we are keeping an eye on. Behavioral concerns: The kitchen boys are all in our trust training program for their shyness when being handled. They are the kindest, gentlest rats with no mean bone in their bodies but they are quite intimidated when it comes to interacting with humans and prefer not to be picked up.
