Star, Diamond & Stripes are three bonded brother gerbils in search of their forever home. Curious and playful, they love to be hand fed food and treats. Well socialized from a very young age, these brothers are friendly and hand tame. While they love to investigate hands (especially if they are full of food), they don't enjoy being picked up or held still. They are master architects and love to build tunnel systems throughout their enclosure.
Star, Diamond & Stripes are estimated to be about 1 year old and have a clean bill of health from our local exotic animal veterinarian.
Gerbils are a social species and should be kept in groups of 2 - 3. They are generally diurnal, meaning they are most active during the day. They should be kept in a part of the home where they will get plenty of socialization throughout the day and a quiet place to sleep at night. They should be provided with plenty of space to run, climb and burrow. Large aquarium style enclosures are best and can be expanded with cage like "tank toppers". A minimum depth of 8 - 10 inches of bedding should be available for them to dig and burrow.
