My Story

Rick and Monica recently met here at Luna’s House. Rick had originally come in with his buddies Anson & Liam (who are still available for adoption as a pair) but had to be separated from them when he decided he needed some space if his own. Rick was adopted by a long-term beloved small animal volunteer who unfortunately faced a medical crisis this Spring. Upon his arrival back in our care, we introduced Rick to Monica—and the two piggies began their life together. :) Monica first came to LH with her two daughters, Rachel & Phoebe (who are also available for adoption as a pair) when the girls were only a few weeks old. Now grown up, Monica’s girls were ready to enjoy their time as sisters…and Monica was ready for some “me time” of her own with hunky new husband Rick! Rick is estimated to be 3 years of age to Monica’s 1.5 years of age (as of July 2024), but they aren’t going to let a little thing like age stand in the way of their happiness. They are loving their life together and are just searching for the right humans to take them to their forever home! If you would be interested in adopting guineas from Luna's House, please take a moment to fill out an online adoption application at the following link: https://www.lunashouse.org/php_email_form/formphp.html Once we have received and approved your completed application, we can schedule a time for you to come meet with available piggies. You will be coming to our Animal Care and Education Center, located at 2801 Pulaski Highway in Edgewood, MD. The adoption fee for a pair of neutered male guinea pigs is $85, for a neutered male/spayed female pair is $100, and for a pair of spayed females is $120. The adoption fee is a donation meant to help us offset part of the cost of caring for the animals you are adopting while they are with us, including veterinary exam, spay or neuter surgery, fecal check, food, bedding, etc. Collection of adoption fees helps us to continue to help animals in need.
