My Story

Oliver is a single male rat estimated to have been born in January 2024. Rats are social animals that must live with at least one other rat friend. Oliver must go to a home with other rats (males or spayed females). Oliver came to us very skittish and living in a tiny cage by himself. He wasn't socialized or handled much at all and was very scared of people. He wouldn't even come out of his hides until humans were out of the room and the lights were off. Thankfully he's been making huge progress now that he's at our rescue! His foster family has dedicated a lot of love and work, and it's truly paying off! Oliver loves to explore and roam around his playpen area. He's always rearranging his home as well. Although he can still be a little unsure of new people and being picked up, he's content to hang out in his sling while you carry him around. Oliver is a young ratty that is very active and needs a home that can dedicate time towards making his enclosure extra interactive, having lots of enrichment items/activities and playpen time, and working with him to continue building his confidence. Oliver's adoption fee is $18. If you're interested in adopting this sweet boy, please email us at [email protected]. We are a foster-based rescue located in the Olympia area. At this time we cannot accommodate adoptions outside of Washington. We do not ship animals.
