My Story

Minnie (petite Pastel/Light Tan female born 10/2017) and Cole (Ebony neutered male born 7/2018) are a bonded chinchilla pair looking for their forever home. They are super sweet and once they learn to trust you, they will come right up to you. Cole gladly takes all treats, but Minnie is a bit pickier. They are pretty chill most of the time but do get the zoomies and will try to and sometimes succeed in jumping over an almost 3' fence during play time. They seem to do best in a large enclosure like a Midwest Critter Nation/Ferret Nation Double Story cage or something similar in dimensions (24"D x 36"W x 63"H) and proof of an adequately sized cage will be necessary for adoption approval. They love to run on their 15" Chin Spin wheel (but they didn't seem to know what to do with an Exotic Nutrition 14" Treadmill Wheel, lol), chew up their applewood sticks, roll in their dust bath several times each week and climb all over you in their fenced-in play area. Minnie is known to be food selective, so they are currently eating Supreme Petfoods brand Science Selective Chinchilla Food along with timothy hay every day. Minnie also has a history of needing her molars trimmed/filed down and as such will require regular vet visits to keep her teeth healthy so she is able to eat properly. If you think Minnie and Cole might be the perfect match for your family please fill out our adoption application. Adoption fee for this adorable pair is $250.
