Toad and Luigi's Story:
Toad and Luigi were two of several Guinea pigs that were abandoned in from of a humane society in California. All of their buddies were adopted, but Toad and Luigi remained. For ONE YEAR. Over a year of being in a shelter environment with minimal interaction with people. Over a year and no one came to look at them. A new shelter staff reached out to some rescues, and I couldn't say no. Toad is the bigger fluffy boy, and Luigi is the shorter haired boy. I am estimating them to be about 2 years old. Due to being in the shelter so long they have taken a long time to come out of their shells. Luigi would scream when being picked up. They are still difficult to catch, but they do like being held. And boy do they love their treats! They both done right up to the bars to get them! Which is something that took more than two months to accomplish.
If you are looking for a pair deserving of a forever home, these two boys are the ones. They will need some extra patience and extra cuddle time to get used to being loved.
