These young guys have won my heart, and they will win yours, too. They can't from a horribly abusive/ neglectful situation. Their owner refused to feed them and was starving them. Each family member had a different story as to how or why they got them and weren't talking care of them. They were so emaciated, we strongly convinced the owners to surrender them. Once they were in rescue, they began their journey to getting healthy. With lots of good food and love, these boys have become healthy, happy piggies. All they need now is that special person or family that will never let them go hungry or unloved again. Boys or girls?? Males are usually much more cuddly at an earlier age than females. Males get along just as well as females. Like all bonded pairs, they have to be adopted together. Guinea pigs are social animals and should always have at least one other friend of their own kind. These wonderful little creatures live an average of 6 to 8 years. We’ve even seen them live until they were 9-10 years old! Children under the age of 12 should always be supervised by an adult when holding guinea pigs.
