I've got two pals here, but I'm always open to making more. I'm a simple guy, really. My favorite pastime? Munching on Cheerios. There's just something about that wholesome, oaty crunch that makes my day. When I'm not snacking, I'm usually playing hide and seek with my friends. I'm pretty good at it, thanks to my shy nature. But don't worry, once I get to know you, I'll come out of my shell. Adopt me for a good listener and loyal friend. ________________________________________________________________________________ Notes from his foster - He has allowed scratches around his ears and head and petting down his back, then lets me know when he’s had enough! When I have had to pick him up he goes completely limp with no struggle. He jumps up on my lap for treats. Explores the area when out for playtime. The only one I’ve seen boggling. Estimated birth date: 1/16/23 Personality: Chatty, Hesitant, Nervous, Smart, Very shy (you are unable to touch this animal without it running away or being fearful, etc) Favorite treats: Cheerios and yogurt Current Diet: Oxbow Essentials Adult Rat Food Favorite toys and activities: He likes chewing on luffa chews and playing with his brothers. Potty trained: We're working on it! This animal’s daily routine: In the morning, his fosters fill up his water bottle and food bowl. They pet and play with him a while. In the afternoon, he and his friends get some play time, and food gets topped off if needed. BFF (Does this animal have or need a friend of the same species in their home?): Knocking on Heaven's Door, Stairway to Heaven, & Devil Went Down to Georgia are a bonded trio and must be adopted together. Other species this pet has been exposed to and reaction: Dog-nervous Has this animal been exposed to children? What was their reaction? None Health concerns: Devil Went Down to Georgia has recently recovered from a URI. We continue to monitor for any recurrence. Behavioral concerns: Devil Went Down To Georgia is nervous and unsure of humans. He does not trust people and does not want to be held. He will sniff his foster's hands and gently move them out of the way when they try to pick him up or give him treats. He hides when they open his enclosure's door.
