Both are very active and can be a little squirmy with a new handler, but they settle down quickly. They are very friendly, inquisitive and playful. They eat fruits and veggies from your hand. Both enjoy light scratches behind the ears, on top of the head and on the bridge of the nose. Cookies is the larger of the pair and easy to handle. He is a Silkie Crested cross with distinctive red, white and lilac agouti markings and a soft, fluffy hair coat. Silkies are best known for their calm and gentle personalities and glossy hair. Crested have a distinctive swirl or cowlick on the top of their heads. Both Guinea pigs have hearty appetites. They love romaine lettuce, carrots, English cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, apples, celery, broccoli, kale, oranges, clementines, peaches, strawberries, pears, parsley, grapes, cantaloupe, honeydew and watermelon. They eat OxBow's adult Guinea pig pellets and timothy hay. Cookies and Candy make happy chirping and "wheeking" sounds when they hear the rustle of bags or the refrigerator door opening, anticipating the arrival of their fruits and veggies. Guinea pigs need to be handled with care. They have a lot of energy and move quickly. Adult supervision for young novice handlers is recommended. Though not litter mates, these adorable boys get along well and should be adopted together. Are Cookies and Candy the perfect pets for you?
