My Story

Name: Cinderella Age: Adult DOB: 1/16/2023 Gender: Female Species: Rat Coat Length: Shorthair Child friendly: Experienced rat parent; Older, gentle, patient children Temperament: Intelligent, shy, fast, wary Energy Level: Active Adoption Fee: $5+tax 50% off sale applied to fee To adopt, go to: www.mendingspirits.org/apply-to-adopt.html About Me: Hi friends! My name is Cinderella, Cinder for short. I enjoy being tucked into one of my cozy hides stuffed with paper and scrap fabrics. I love sleeping in my hammock or rearranging my empty cardboard boxes. My large enclosure contains two water dispensers and two food containers filled with nutritional rat food. I enjoy my daily dinner of fresh vegetables and fruit, or maybe a tiny bit of leftovers! My foster mom is helping me learn to use one of the litter boxes in my cage. I am working hard on learning to trust humans again, but I like coming out of my enclosure and riding around on my foster mom's shoulder or in her bonding scarf! Most of the daytime, I will be resting safely in my house, lying on my cozy bedding, relaxing in a hammock, or doing major zooms around my house. I sometimes sway my head back and forth to get a better look at things because, as a rat, I have poor eyesight. I am fun to watch, and I gently take treats from your hand. I would benefit from a home where I can be given lots of gentle attention to help me trust others. I respond when you call my name, and I am a fun and charming gal looking for a place to call home. I am quite energetic and easy to please. I would be a great rat for an experienced owner who is patient, kind, and thoughtful. Someday, I'd like to be part of another mischief with more rat girlfriends because rats are super social animals who form deep, meaningful bonds with other rattie friends and our parents.
