My Story

Chippy has been biding his time in foster care, waiting for just the right person who will appreciate his awesome zoomies and hilarious popcorns. Foster mom says Chippy needs a little time to get used to being petted in his cage. Initially, he may be a bit nervous and will run if you try to pet him. But once you hold this little guy, he becomes a calm little furball. He is accustomed to being handled and is comfortable eating out of his cage and on your lap. You can chomp on baby carrots together while watching TV. In his previous home, he lived with another male guinea pig and the two were at odds, so he needs to be your one and only piggy. Chippy was also accustomed to getting out of his habitat to explore in his last home. Looking for a new companion to put a smile on your face? Chippy may be your guy! If you're ready to adopt within the next 24-48 hours and want to learn more about, meet, or adopt this pet, you can start the process in one of two ways: Come in during open adoption hours Tuesday - Saturday 12:30p-3:00p. For in-shelter pets (not in foster care) coming in ASAP is the fastest way to adopt! **OR** Click on the pink "Adopt me" button to submit an adoption inquiry. Watch your email for a response from us! Adopting through this process will take several days and highly desirable pets are likely to no longer be available. PLEASE NOTE: Adoption inquiries are not holds or reservations. Pets are adopted by the first person we talk with who is a good match for the pet's needs. Multiple inquiries are accepted for each pet. All cat adoption fees include; -spay/neuter -rabies vaccine -current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian) -FeLV/FIV blood test -microchip implanted & registered to the adopter -treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites -veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin -free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
