My Story

How this pet arrived: Cherry was brought in by his previous owner on July 16, 2024. Why this pet is the ones for you:This is Cherry! Cherry can be quite shy and is not used to being handled, but with a little trust-building, he has the potential to be a fun addition to your home. His previous owner let us know that he's a bit of an escape artist, so a secure cage (like a multi-level critter nation cage) is a must! In addition to a spacious home base, Cherry will need plenty of soft fleece hammocks, toys, activities, and daily enrichment to keep him busy! He is known to nip when startled, so an experienced rat owner is recommended. Cherry was fighting with other rats in his previous home, so he may do best as the only rat. We recommend doing lots of research on rat parenthood and getting an enclosure ready before bringing rats home. Ask an Adoption Counselor to learn more!
