How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated and microchipped. This pet is now ready for their new home! Why this pet is the one for you: Several guinea pigs recently came into our care and we need to find homes for all of them. Bagel is a guy with a mostly bright white coat but look closely and you will find some black and orange random hairs in that bright white coat. So pretty. As with most guinea pigs, it should be relatively easy to care for. It will need a large enclosure - not a small cage. It will need room for hiding, eating, going to the bathroom, sleeping and eating. It will prefer that its enclosure be around its human family because it is a social one who wants to be part of the family and needs human interaction. While it may not like to held, it will tolerate it but will prefer sitting quietly next to you and maybe crawling onto your lap. It will like a buddy so if you will consider adopting a second one, that would be great. Some of its siblings are in our care. We can show you how to fix a good living space for guinea pigs.
