Tonka is a Red-Eared Slider turtle.
She is currently housed with similar sized sliders and gets along but would be fine alone as well.
Tonka can be a little shy when being handled and like all aquatic turtles should be more of a look at animal.
Tonka will need a minimum of a 75 gallon glass tank or livestock tank as an adult as females can get up to 14 inches long.
A good filter, tank heater UVB and basking bulbs are required. Aquatic turtles should be provided a basking platform that allows them to climb up out of the water to bask.
These guys can also live 40 plus years depending on care, so they are a long-time commitment.
Tonka is eating pellets well and is also given meal worms and greens.
