My Story

Hi! My name is Blaze! My Foster Family says 'Blaze is a little over 3' long and 6" in circumference and likes to hide during the day, but loves to move around when she's out. Blaze is a sweet ball python that loves to explore whenever she's out. Very curious and adventurous.' Though there is no way to really tell what age I am, based on my size I am considered a sub-juvenile. My species can live a long and healthy life of up to 30 to 40 years. Bringing me into your family is a lifelong commitment, for both of us! Adult female ball pythons will average 3 to 5 feet long, and adult male ball pythons average 2 to 3 feet in size. As a full adult, I can weigh between 3 and 5 lbs. I will require my own habitat that is secure with the right diet, habitat, substrate, temperature, and humidity. Don’t worry, the rescue will provide you with all the information that you will need to prepare for my arrival. I was abandoned in an apartment where I was left for a fairly long time without food or water. After first spending time at the shelter where medical staff got me back on the right path, I was transferred to the rescue to finish my rehabilitation so that I could find my forever home! Could it be with you? If you think we may be a good match, or you would like to get to know me better, please click the Adoption Application button below my bio on the rescue website, here is the link - https://www.smallbreedrescue.org/Home/AnimalDetails/8360 PLEASE NOTE: 1- We can only accept applications from interested parties who are in or near San Diego County, California at this time. 2- We do not ship reptiles but we may be willing to work with you if you are willing to travel if you are still in Southern California. 3- #2 will depend on the animal that you are applying for and is at the discretion of the board of directors.
