Kimchi

Intake date: 4/4/24 Status: Available on 5/4/24 Kimchi is an adult male Columbian rainbow boa. He is supposed to be around 11+ years old, but these boas can live a long time! Kimchi is in great health, eats frozen/thawed rats, and is a beautiful boa. The catch? Kimchi is NOT friendly, he is a very defensive snake and WILL strike and bite. We will not adopt him out to a first-time snake owner, you must have previous snake experience! He's not very big, only about 3-4', but he is quite strong and determined. Kimchi would probably be happiest living in a naturalistic enclosure with limited human interaction. His adoption fee is $75. **We do not recommend glass tanks/aquariums for rainbow boas due to humidity and security issues. If you use a glass tank, you MUST cover up at least 75% of the screen top with plastic, plexiglass, or foil tape AND provide a lot of cover. We highly recommend PVC cages and appropriate bin setups.** We do approve cages that are solid sided but have screen tops--they just MUST be modified. We've listed a few recommended cages below.
