My Story

?? Looking for a Forever Home for Jupiter the Ball Python ?? Meet Jupiter, the adorable Ball Python looking for a loving forever home! ? Jupiter was hatched at J&R Aquatic Animal Rescue on 7/4/22, alongside his sister Donut. He had a brief stint with a wonderful family but was returned to us on 4/16/24 due to his spicy nature. However, with a gentle hand and some patience, Jupiter is sure to settle down and become an amazing companion! Jupiter is thriving on prekilled large mice or small rats, and his diet is on point. ? There's no set adoption fee for this sweetheart. Instead, we kindly ask that his new family consider making a donation in Jupiter's name to help keep our rescue afloat. Every little bit counts towards supporting our mission of rescuing and caring for aquatic animals in need. Interested in adopting Jupiter? ? Simply fill out an application on our website here: https://www.jraar.org/adoption and we'll get in touch with you soon! Care Tips for Ball Pythons: ? Habitat: Provide Jupiter with a spacious enclosure with plenty of hiding spots like caves or logs. A temperature gradient is essential, with a warm side (around 88-92°F) and a cooler side (around 75-80°F). Use a reptile-specific thermostat to regulate temperature. ? Hydration: Ensure Jupiter has access to clean water at all times. Mist the enclosure occasionally to maintain humidity levels between 50-60%. ?? Feeding: Offer prekilled prey appropriately sized for Jupiter's girth. Ball Pythons typically eat every 7-10 days. Avoid handling Jupiter for at least 48 hours after feeding. ? Lighting: Provide a day-night cycle with a 12-hour light and 12-hour dark period. Ball Pythons don't require UVB lighting but benefit from it on a regular light cycle for their biological rhythm. ?? Handling: Handle Jupiter gently and confidently to help him feel secure. Start with short sessions and gradually increase the duration as he becomes more accustomed to you. Let's find Jupiter the perfect forever home where he'll be cherished and cared for! ?? #AdoptDontShop #RescueSnake #BallPythonLove
