My Story

We have both male and female aquatic turtles for adoption. Our adoption price is low because you will be looking at a $300 - $500 setup. They can be wonderful pets and are great at facial recognition, but ALL aquatic turtles bite! These are not cuddly pets. You MUST know what you're doing and have an accurate application in order to adopt. Aquatic turtles are a lot of work in order to maintain health and water quality, so please do your research. All applications that list a 74 gallon tank or smaller will not receive a call back. Aquatic turtles require 10 gallons of swimmable water per inch of shell length in addition to a basking area and the majority of the turtles we have for adoption are adults, so please take your time a research proper care before applying. Adoption fee per turtle is $10. If you are interested in adopting this animal, please visit our website, www.larrsrescueandsanctuary.com, and click on the "Our Animals" tab. Once there, please fill out our Reptile Adoption Application. Please remember to do your research before applying. Answering the questions in the application with "whatever is recommended" will disqualify you as an applicant and will not receive a response. We want to place our animals in loving forever homes who understand the responsibilities of taking care of an exotic animal. ****** PLEASE READ BEFORE SENDING AN INQUIRY: We do not ship any of our animals. Animals do not include enclosures. The adoption fee is not negotiable - your adoption fee helps us to be able to carry out our mission and provide for all of our adoptable animals as well as continue our mission of education on exotic birds and reptiles.
