Apollo and Athena were brought to us in 2020. They both have 'bubbles' of fluid under their skin. Apollo is by far the worst. These snakes have seen the vet. We've tried antibiotics and experimental remedies. We drain the bubbles but they just come back again. It is clear watery liquid. It does not bother the snakes, and has not affected their appetite or movement at all. They aren't great at striking their prey sometimes but they do love to eat. They have gained weight while here and are normal in every other way.
Update: The bubbles are starting to get smaller as these snakes get older. Apollo had a lot of fluid but now it takes a lot longer for the fluid to build up and its much less than it used to be. There is a chance as he continues to grow that these bubbles may go away completely.
