My Story

How can you not love a rabbit named The Big Dance? It's impossible! The Big Dance is a rabbit with a lot of energy! He loves to play with his toys, especially stacking cups and tunnels. He also really likes to hop over and on people if you get down on his level. He's very active and needs a lot of entertainment. One of his favorite pastimes is digging his fleece blanket. He's a bunny who would benefit greatly with having a lot of space to run around and play, and a dig box he can just go to town on. The Big Dance is a curious rabbit and sometimes using his mouth to explore, which means he may chew things he isn't supposed to. Bunny-proofing for him will be a must! He may also softly nibble your toes or your side if you're in his way or he wants your attention. The Big Dance was in a foster home recently, and this is what his foster family had to say about him: "He is very friendly and curious! He loves meeting new people and enjoys being pet. The Big Dance is very amicable, adventurous, and charming. He can sometimes be very energetic but most of the time, he is chill and enjoys getting pets and exploring. The Big Dance likes to explore new places, hop around, and stand up on his hind legs to eat food and look around. He loves flopping down and showing his white belly. Sometimes he has the zoomies and other times he will just lay flat on the ground and enjoy your pets. During the afternoon he loves his lounging and outside pen time. In the evenings, he becomes an explorer and wanders around sniffing things. He doesn't like going back to his pen sometimes because he likes a good, cool shady spot to lounge in. He often bites his pen and flips over his pellet and water bowls when he's annoyed to be in his enclosure. He's an ideal companion with a largely likeable personality that is both sweet and charming! The Big Dance loves to eat - he needs the fuel to keep him going. His favorites are mint, romaine, and red leaf lettuce. He will often make grunting noises when you give him his greens out of impatience. Did you know rabbits can make vocalizations? It's true! The Big Dance is very expressive and will entertain you by doing lots of binkies when he's happy. If you've never seen a binky before, it's when a rabbit joyfully jumps and twists high in the air. It's a sight to see! The Big Dance is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2 (vaccine needs to be administered annually). House Rabbit Society recommends all rabbits see a rabbit-savvy veterinarian once a year. Submit an adoption application for The Big Dance at center.houserabbit.org. House Rabbit Society is located in Richmond, California, just north of San Francisco. Questions? Email [email protected] and we'll be happy to talk more with you!
