My Story

Terra is quite a personality. She has her own set of rules! Just being up-front: this bunny needs someone very special who can work with her. She wants to be a good girl, but nips and bites likely out of past trauma from her abandonment situation. She can be affectionate, but is very territorial of her chosen person or foster. She’s very special in that she took care of two younger bunnies after all three of them were rescued together. She groomed them and looked after them. It is possible she is an older sibling or was a very young mother. She is a gorgeous black and gray lionhead rabbit. Terra is spayed and has been vaccinated against RHDV2. She is about 1 year old. Terra is one of our intakes from the 16 abandoned bunnies from the Arab trailer crisis, in which bunnies were left to perish in a freezing trailer by an evicted abusive individual without food or water. We aren’t sure of everything she went though, but she may have been subject to additional abuse that was spared from the other bunnies. You can read more about the conditions and see photos on our page here https://huntsvillehouserabbits.com/arab-abandoned-bunnies Like many rescued bunnies, Terra is appreciative of affection and attention. She can be cuddly and very sweet, but sometimes bites if her rules aren’t met. She loves food and treats and attention. She would love a very patient, calm person who can give lots of attention and work with her. Rabbits can live 10-12 years with good care, and should be kept indoors. We would love to help you learn about bunny care if you are considering adoption. Foster-to-adopt is also an option. Please submit an adoption or foster form (for foster-to-adoption option) on our website: www.huntsvillehouserabbits.com Adoption fee for a single bunny is $100 or $150 for a bonded pair of bunnies and includes spay/neuter and RHDV2 vaccination.
