My Story

Sandy is a beautiful and vibrant young male New Zealand/Flemish cross! Sandy was purchased from a breeder and was saved from being dumped at the beach. We could never imagine why someone would dump him, as he is such a friendly, confident, and happy bunny. VRRA brought Sandy to a bunny social at a local park, and he was the star of the day! He was outgoing right from the start, binkying and zooming around all day long. Sandy was good with all the young children, the noise, and even puppy passersby. He was eager to make new human friends, snuggling up and flopping right beside his new buddies. Young Sandy was born in March of 2024, and was neutered in early July 2024. He is all ready to go to a loving new home that will cherish him. The adoption fee is $75 per rabbit ($150 for a pair). Please do your research and if you're interested in any of our rabbits, go to www.vrra.org to fill in our adoption application. We follow the House Rabbit Society adoption policies. For everything you need to know about caring for a bunny, visit the House Rabbit Society website at: www.rabbit.org. We strongly encourage all prospective bunny adopters to pick up a copy of “The House Rabbit Handbook: How to Live with an Urban Rabbit,” available from most online sellers (e.g., Amazon) as well at our shelter.
