Hi I am Sammy! I am unfortunately the poster child of why a child or teenager should never be responsible for a pet... I was brought to the rescues vet emaciated, no muscle tone, weakness on my left side, unable to move, and with severe ear mites and flea infestation. I had to have either a major stroke or seizure that left me impaired from either malnutrition or abuse. However there are people who really care about me here at the rescue. Connie (my mother for now) has worked with me everyday for close to four months now. She treats me with love I've never known and tells me everyday how precious I am. I was neutered once I was strong enough for the surgery and I did really well. I can now lift my hips and hop through my tunnel with both back feet! My front left leg is still not moving much, but people have seen me use it! Im just a two year old precious boy that did not deserve the life I had. I am very tough and a fighter and wants to live! I will require meds twice a day that I (quite frankly) love and clean bedding. I am a couch potato and a lap rabbit. I love to be petted. My (now- mother) Connie says that I can't be adopted until improve a little more. she tells me all the time that I have quite the personality and am oh so ruggedly handsome!!
