My Story

***Latte and Rumi are being adored in their foster home, not at the shelter. Please find info below on how to adopt them, thanks! *** My name is Rumi and I am the bigger half of the dynamic duo. I am a lionhead with a luxurious fur coat and a riveting hairdo. I am also the extrovert, and I will follow you around to see what you are doing. I am the first to investigate if you set up a new playhouse or show me a new toy. Come meal time, I will gently push on you to remind you that I am ready to eat. Food is welcome at almost any time of the day. I love to cuddle with Latte for late morning or afternoon naps, and we groom each other regularly. My foster parent said that we are clean bunnies. By the way, Latte and I are both litterbox trained and we are very clean bunnies! Latte and Rumi are a bonded pair and they will be adopted together! Please note that rabbits require large indoor spaces, not a hutch or small cage. There are simply too many dangers outside for a rabbit to thrive and survive. The primary caregiver must be a responsible adult, and young children should always be supervised when interacting with your rabbit and instructed on proper approach and handling. Rabbits are intelligent and social animals; they do best with a rabbit companion and need daily interaction with their human friends. Rabbits should be fed unlimited hay, a little high-quality hay pellets, and a fresh leafy green salad. Your rabbit will need regular nail trims and annual vet checks. With proper care and lots of love, rabbits can live to be 10-12 years old.
