My Story

Pellets: 1/4 Cup Oxbow Essentials Adult Rabbit Food (AM) Hay: Unlimited mixed hay (All day) Salad: 1 cup spring mix, parsley, cilantro, romaine lettuce (PM) Regina, a beloved favorite at our shelter, is ready to hop into your heart and home! She was transferred to SDHRS in January 2024 and, with her vibrant ruby red eyes and outgoing personality, she's all about charm and companionship. Regina loves being social and would thrive in a home with plenty of space to play and explore. She's curious and adventurous, always on the lookout for new nooks to investigate. Regina adores attention and affection, often melting into blissful bunny flops at the slightest bit of love. Her playful antics and sweet nature are sure to bring endless joy and laughter to your life. With a little patience, she'll quickly become your new best friend! Spayed: 11/2/23 Rabbit Hemorrhagic Disease Virus (RHDV) is a highly contagious and deadly disease caused by a calicivirus that affects both wild and domestic rabbits. It is not contagious to people or other animals. For the first time, the virus is causing deaths in rabbits and hares native to North America and is spreading rapidly. UPDATE: In May 2021, California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) has confirmed new cases of RHDV in rabbits in Kern, Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura County. In addition to detection of RHDV2 in wild cottontail rabbits and jackrabbits, RHDV2 has been confirmed in domestic rabbits on 50 premises, including a detection in a feral domestic rabbit.
