My Story

Meet Cagney & Lacey, a pair of French Lop ladies, approx. 5 years old. Cagney & Lacey do mostly everything together. Where one goes, the other is sure to follow. They are very curious buns, and love exploring. It is very hard to tell them apart at first, but once you get to know them, their personalities are slightly different. Lacey is more friendly and will seek out attention more often. She loves being pet and will sit on the couch with you and watch some TV. Cagney is all about exploring and can’t be bothered with the funny business of affection. She is the more dominant bun and can get a little feisty sometimes (usually when she’s hungry). The girls are food driven, and they love their veggies. Any green veggie is good, but their favorites are orange peppers! They will also never say no to small timothy hay treats. They get a 9/10 for litter box skills, but a 3/10 for housekeeping. They make messes out of their hay and any cardboard! They are big buns and need lots of room to roam and hop around, and can be trusted to be out roaming around under a watchful eye. They’re always on the lookout for some cardboard (or anything that looks like cardboard) to nibble on, so supervision is always necessary. Because of their need for a lot of room, a standard x-pen set up won't be sufficient. The require, at a minimum, 32 square feet of floor space. They are a fun pair and will be a great addition to any family. They do not get along with other pets in the house; being near other bunnies makes them anxious and puts them more on edge. When it’s just the two of them though, they seem to live in peace. High preferences for a no-pet home. Shortly after coming into rescue, the ladies were overly stressed and got into a few fights. This ended up with Cagney have a hole torn in her ear. The girls were separated for some time, and had to be re-bonded. They are once again super great with each other, but Cagney does still have a hole in the center of one of her ears that will never fully close. It has been examined several times by our vet, and it has healed very healthy! We think it just adds a little character ? Their adoption fee is $60.00 (for the pair). If you are interested in meeting Cagney & Lacey, please fill out the adoption application on our website: www.popcornsandbinkies.org Adoption fee includes: *RHD/RHD2 vaccined * Health check upon entering rescue; * Spay/neuter (unless advised by our veterinarian not to, due to age or health issues); * Educational information booklet, including a list of rabbit savvy vets in Winnipeg; * Ongoing access to our team for questions that may arise after adoption (for the life of the animal)
