My Story

Pookie came to us earlier this year, suffering a giant corneal ulcer. Extremely painful for rabbits. Her ulcer was due to trauma and she was at risk of being euthanized. Not only was she a not very adoptable color, but the severe pain made her aggressive. We couldn’t let that happen, so brought her up to Missouri and removed the eye during her spay. She’s healed up fabulously and is now ready for a forever family! Her eye looks better every day. Her foster mom says, “Pookie! Her eye is healing great and she is navigating life well. She gets a little startled if you approach her from the right side but when she gets a visual on you, she calms right down. She is getting better day by day and more used to managing life with just one eye. She definitely has more pep in her step and is now pain-free.” This girl is a binky machine and absolutely flies through her fosters family room. The happiest girl with her stacking baby cup toys! Pookie is deceivingly small - pictures don’t do her justice. If you’d like to adopt Pookie aka Pookatron, click here: https://forms.gle/xatrAFuJh65GYqTG9
