My Story

Midge came to WHRS from an overcrowded home. She was quite spicy when she arrived! She didn't like hands coming into her cage and would definitely let you know. However, she's turned into a different rabbit since she's been spayed. She now enjoys pets and accepts hands coming into her cage. Midge is a smart girl with a lot of personality. She can be protective of her space in a cage and would therefore benefit from living in a large enclosure, such as an exercise pen. She would also do best living in a home without young children since she doesn't like fast movements. UPDATE: Midge is now in a foster home where she has an exercise pen as her enclosure. Her foster parents say she's an absolute sweetheart! She is so charming and really awesome. She comes to the edge of her pen every time we walk by, hoping to get attention. She adores being pet and will crunch her teeth to show her appreciation. She even follows us around, seeking attention! If you're interested in adopting Midge, please fill out our adoption questionnaire, which can be found on the adoption page of our website at wisconsinhrs.org. Adopters receive a free copy of the House Rabbit Handbook: How to Live with an Urban Rabbit and a one year membership to the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society.
