My Story

Hi, I'm Lottie! I've spent my entire life here at the rescue. My parents, Charlie and Violet were abandoned outside. My mom gave birth to me and my siblings a few weeks later. I don't mind it here, the volunteers are really nice, but they feel I deserve to experience a home of my own. I'm not sure what that is, but I'm excited! You can visit me at Erie Area Rabbit Society and Rescue. Breed: Dutch Mix Size: Medium DOB: May 28, 2021 Reason in Rescue: Lottie's parents, Charlie and Violet were abandoned outside. Violet gave birth a few weeks later to Lottie and her siblings at the rescue. Personality: Playful, Happy, Loves People Friends: I'm a good candidate to be bonded with another rabbit. • Requirements • Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with a large to x-large dog crate or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2'). We do not recommend plastic bottom cages or hutches. • Adoption process • An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.eriearearabbitsociety.org), and approved by our adoption committee. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. If you have any other questions you can email at [email protected] or call (814)838-9732. • Recommended Food • - Oxbow, Sherwood, Small Pet Select or Kaytee timothy pellets, about 1/4 cup per day - Unlimited timothy hay - 2-3 cups of fresh, dark leafy green vegetables per day For a complete list of rabbit-friendly veggies, visit houserabbit.org. • Bedding • Newspaper, Yesterday's News, Cellsorb, or Carefresh.
