My Story

Iris is a sweet, playful, energetic bunny who was rescued from a kill shelter in Quebec at the 11th hour. She was so happy to be safe in her foster home after her long journey, she did an adorable binky on the first night! She immediately showed what a loving bunny she is, not hesitating to accept pets and give nudges. She loves to chew on her grass mat and willow ball too, and lick her stuffies (and her foster's slippers!). She is a super curious little bun who is always checking out the pet mice she shares a room with. Once Iris is spayed, she will be able to be litter trained, and once she is litter trained she will make the perfect free-roaming bunny! She can easily escape an x pen so she'd need a more secure enclosure if not free roaming. Iris loves to jump all over furniture and do binkies and zoomies. One of her favourite activities is hopping up onto the nightstand and tearing up a tissue from the kleenex box. She also likes to relax on her blanket with her feet up or as a perfect little loaf. Iris weighs 1.78kg and received a dental trim upon her arrival at Rabbit Rescue. Likely her dental issues were as a result of a poor diet and now that she has access to all the hay she could ever want, her teeth will likely remain stable. She enjoys pellets and fresh hay and is a huge fan of lettuce. Now that she has been in foster care for a couple weeks after living at a shelter, she can start trying new foods and treats, which she is very excited about!
