My Story

Earlier this year, our rescue team caught a dumped bunny in a park. Someone had tried to dye her dewlap pink, her rump was crusted with feces, and all she wanted to do was nap. Literally as soon as she arrived for her intake exam, she flopped over on the table and fell asleep. We named her Heather and she has spent the last 4.5 months in our program being vetted, socialized, and litter trained. She is, without a shadow of a doubt, the perfect bunny. Her foster mom says, “Heather is the sweetest bun you will meet! She will run up to you, nose you, then take off as if you tickled her whiskers, she hides her face and then you pick her up and she melts in your arms. She loves to be pet and will fall asleep in your lap. She isn’t scared of my 3 dogs or 2 cats. She is good with her litter and has claimed the dog bed for sure!” Heather is truly a remarkable bunny. Lots of people have been put off by her ruby colored eyes, but they’re missing out. If you’d like to adopt her, click here: https://forms.gle/xatrAFuJh65GYqTG9
