My Story

Breed: American Size: large DOB: January 31, 2023 Reason in Rescue: Born in rescue Personality: sweet, funny and shy Friends: Hi my name is Garnet. I was born at the shelter shortly after my mom and dad were rescued from outside. When you first meet me I hang back, but stick around. The volunteers here are always telling me how silly I am being. They also say I love you Garnet. So I know I would make someone a good pet. I am young and energetic and would love a home of my own to run around. I am willing to meet a friend if you are looking for a friend for your bunny. Hope to see you soon. • Requirements • Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with a large to x-large dog crate or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2'). We do not recommend plastic bottom cages or hutches. • Adoption process • An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.eriearearabbitsociety.org), and approved by our adoption committee. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. If you have any other questions you can email at [email protected] or call (814)838-9732. • Recommended Food • - Oxbow, Sherwood, Small Pet Select or Kaytee timothy pellets, about 1/4 cup per day - Unlimited timothy hay - 2-3 cups of fresh, dark leafy green vegetables per day For a complete list of rabbit-friendly veggies, visit houserabbit.org. • Bedding • Newspaper, Yesterday's News, Cellsorb, or Carefresh.
