These cute little LionLops, Lewis & Clark, were surrendered to the rescue after sustaining injuries from a bad fight with each other due to the hoomans not understanding bunnies before making an impulse purchase. They were not neutered and yet tossed into a small outdoor hutch together. They are very lucky it wasn't even worse. This is why we always encourage you to do your research prior to bringing any pet into your home. These bunnies were recently neutered. Once their hormones settle they can reconsider the possibility of bonding with each other or other bunnies. We are always working with the rabbits to help them find their true bond-bun. While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need vet visits just like a dog or cat and will require a yearly vaccination against RHDV2. This is a highly contagious and deadly virus. All of our rabbits have received their first annual vaccines. Please do your research before adding any pet to your family.
