My Story

INDOOR ONLY HOMES PLEASE Chenille was rescued on October 23, 2023. She is one of twenty rabbits rescued from a neighborhood in Murrieta where a resident released rabbits into the streets to fend for themselves. She survived by outsmarting speeding cars and hungry hawks! Nothing warms the heart quite like a cuddly bunny and Chenille is about as huggable as they come! Petite and sweet, and oh so soft, she is a rabbit lover’s dream, always ready for a snuggle and a snack. Offer her some treats and some pets, and you’ll have a friend for life. Chenille would make the perfect bun to welcome into your home. Always affectionate, ever entertaining, and beautiful to boot, Chenille is an ideal companion. She was spayed on March 10, 2024. Chenille should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. She can have that as her home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it. Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit. Chenille can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. Delivery is available up to 100 miles from Lake Elsinore. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies! If you are seeking a rabbit as a companion for your existing rabbit, your rabbit should be spayed/neutered. Male/female bondings are usually recommended.
