My Story

Captain Jack with his black eye patches and peg leg got his name from Capt. Jack Sparrow. When Jack was rescued, we found that he had avulsion damage to the nerve of a back leg, probably from being picked up and hanging by that leg, and had no feeling or voluntary movement. The leg was of no use to him and caused him great difficulty in being able to get around, so we had the leg amputated, hence the peg leg. Even though he is now a tripod, Jack is finally able to get around and is very active, loves running through his cat tunnel, and thoroughly loves to check out his surroundings. Captain Jack is a happy bunny that loves a cozy place to take a nap. Burrowing into blankets, sleeping on baby mats, and eating lettuce are his favorite past times. He can be a little shy, but does love to get lots of pets and cuddles as long as you sit on the floor with him as he is not a fan of being picked up. He is an English Spot mix with dark brown eye patches, brown ears, and a few brown spots. He is one old and currently weighs 3.6 lbs. He has been neutered, vaccinated against the Rabbit Hemorrhagic Virus, microchipped, and litter box trained. If there was ever a bunny that deserves a loving forever home it is Captain Jack.
