My Story

Breed: Dutch Size: Medium DOB: 04/15/2023 Reason in Rescue: Born outside Personality: Sweet and friendly Friends: Hi my name is Capricorn but you can call my Cappy for short. I was born outside with my brothers and sister. We were found under a pile of brush after the homeowner burned it. It was a scary time for us, they couldn't find our mom so we had to go into foster. We were only about 7 days old when they found us. Lucky for us they had a mom that was just finishing feeding her babies and could take us in. A volunteer had to help feed us. So the volunteer and the mommy bun kept us fed and warm. We are all a little skittish meeting new people but we do warm up to you after we get to know you. I think I would make an excellent pet for someone. I hope to meet you soon. We have public hours Wednesday from 5pm to 7pm you should come in and meet us all. • Requirements • Must be adopted as an indoor animal, with a large to x-large dog crate or puppy pen (minimum 4' x 2'). We do not recommend plastic bottom cages or hutches. • Adoption process • An adoption application must be filled out (http://www.eriearearabbitsociety.org), and approved by our adoption committee. Then we will arrange a meeting time to see the animal of interest. A home visit is required prior to adoption. If you have any other questions you can email at [email protected] or call (814)838-9732. • Recommended Food • - Oxbow, Sherwood, Small Pet Select or Kaytee timothy pellets, about 1/4 cup per day - Unlimited timothy hay - 2-3 cups of fresh, dark leafy green vegetables per day For a complete list of rabbit-friendly veggies, visit houserabbit.org. • Bedding • Newspaper, Yesterday's News, Cellsorb, or Carefresh.
