My Story

Bob and another rabbit were found roaming loose in an Oviedo neighborhood. Fortunately, they were captured and brought to safety before any harm could befall them. We are not sure how long Bob was outside, but he has taken extremely well to the comforts of being a house rabbit! When he is not doing binkies or asking for a treat, he can be found lounging, sprawled out in his bed or tucked away napping in his hidey house. He seems to be making up for lost relaxation time now that he is safe. Do not be misled by his adorable fluffiness - Bob is a rabbit of strong opinions and is not afraid to make these known. As you can see from his photos, his inner lionhead has come out. He has a beautiful black mane and butt tufts. These only appeared after he was rescued and given a healthy diet of fresh hay, pellets and greens. Bob does not appreciate things in his pen being moved and will nudge or grunt to express his disapproval. This is how bunnies communicate. He can easily be distracted with food, however, when it is time to clean his pen, he will talk to you about it. Despite this, he really is a cuddlebug and a sweet, goofy guy. He loves to be petted and especially loves head rubs. If you sit on the floor to pet him he will likely turn into a pancake and express his appreciation with some tooth purring. Bob is also a huge fan of anything he can toss or fling around, such as his plastic stacking cups and baby keys. He enjoys foraging in his hay and digging in blankets, and his favorite veggie is cilantro. A chill, patient home with lots of time for him to relax and receive pets would be the perfect fit for him! We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions, or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step in our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don't see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder! Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.
