My Story

Binky and Ramen Noodles are safe after a dog attack. Recently, we unexpectedly took in 2 bunnies. A 6 year old lop named Binky and her sister Ramen Noodles, a 2 year old harlequin. They lived a fabulous life with their mom, until she rescued 2 extra large dogs. Good dogs, but couldn’t handle having small animals in their space. Despite their moms best efforts - a Clearly Loved Pet pen, a closed door to their own bunny room, and a dog gate, the dogs were determined to get to the bunnies. Thankfully both were safe, just extremely shaken, but needed to leave immediately for their own safety. Their mom was devastated, yet knew she couldn’t risk either of the buns getting killed. It was heartbreaking. The dogs or the bunnies. And with the dogs being larger “unadoptable” breeds, she was worried they wouldn’t fare well out of a shelter - if they made it out at all. Our team was full, but knew we had to help. So within an hour we’d come up with a plan for the bunnies to enter our program and our last emergency foster space. Binky and Ramen Noodles are here now and relaxing in a quiet, dark space. Their current foster home has no dogs, just bunnies. It’s the perfect place for them to recover. Both are very relaxed. Binky is definitely Ramen Noodles protector and they’re never far apart.
