Betty and Barnaby

These two are fun pair with lots of personality! They are very curious and love knowing what you are up to. Betty is the shy one and Barnaby is the funny rascal with big personality. Give them a chance to adjust to you with lots of time sitting with them - consistency and habit forming will get the best love from them. Barnaby can be a little bossy with nipping in the beginning, but once he learns to trust you he's a sweet fun-loving fella. They do chase each other a little bit when it's feeding time, but this has improved during their time in foster care. Even though Betty is shy, she will put Barnaby in his place when she needs him to calm down. When it comes to food Betty is highly motivated and will come out of her shell. B&B love toys, hideys and boxes they can climb around, and of course daily veggie time. Barnaby especially loves to peek out the top of a vertical tunnel. They'll tolerate grooming at home if they feel secure and keep sessions short. Some things to keep in mind: we do recommend a large area with an extra tall pen with this pair, or ultimately allowing them to free roam once they settle in. They may be aggressive to other pets in the household, and because of their energy would not be suitable around small children.
