My Story

Beanie is a Courtesy Listing and is not housed at the Animal Shelter. Please note that the City of Bloomington Animal Care & Control accepts no responsibility for this pet. Potential adopters are responsible for communicating directly with the pet's guardian. Beanie (proper name Aiko but I always call him bean/beanie) is currently / for most of his life been a free roam little bun. Most of his time is spent lounging, eating, pining for treats, or wanting pets. When he wants to be loved on, he will sit to be pet for as long as you will - especially on the top of his head. He does not like to be picked up which is common for his breed, but tolerates it in times of necessity. He enjoys being combed and pampered as well! There has been a cat in the same house but they do not interact so I do not know how he handles other animals, I think he would do best in a house as the sole little guy. He has been one of the least destructive buns that I have read about, with a record of only two chords chewed over almost 4 years (and I'm pretty forgetful when it comes to leaving them around). His favorite greens are kale and arugula and is not a fan of spinach. His favorite treats are nibble rings and he recognized the sound of crinkling bags in anticipation, so he is always at my feet at the sound!
