My Story

PLEASE CHECK YOUR JUNK/SPAM FOLDER IF YOU INQUIRE ABOUT ADOPTION AND DON'T FIND A REPLY IN YOUR INBOX. INDOOR ONLY HOMES PLEASE Aubrey and Audrey were dumped at a horse race track in Southern California along with approximately 15 other rabbits. They were rescued on April 4, 2024. They currently weigh about 2.5 pounds. They have received their first dose of RHDV2 and will receive their second dose on April 26. These girls are both sweet and fairly calm considering they've just been rescued! They have settled in nicely and are just hoping their cuteness overload will tug at your heart so they can find a forever home. They are available on a foster-to-adopt basis as they are a bit too young for spay surgery. You may foster them until they are old enough for spay in June or July. They will return to the rescue for 1-2 days for transport to their spay surgery. After spay, the adoption will be finalized. They should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. They can have that as their home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it. Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit. Aubrey and Audrey can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. A questionnaire will be emailed to you. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information. PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies! IF YOU ARE SEEKING A RABBIT AS A COMPANION FOR YOUR EXISTING RABBIT, YOUR RABBIT SHOULD BE SPAYED/NEUTERED! Male/female bondings are usually recommended.
