My Story
Wyatt is a 7-year-old Palomino/Quarter Horse who has never been saddled. He was surrendered to us by the owner of his boarding facility after his owner passed away.
When he arrived to AGES, we immediately found him to have no manners, and was very pushy, with no respect for personal space.
After he settled in a bit, we started working with him. He has now completed five training sessions, and we can now say that he is a very smart horse! He does what he is asked to do. He knows how to move his hind quarters and how to back up. He's been very calm, respects personal space, knows how to lunge and change direction. We started with the saddle and he did what we expected.
Overall, he is going to be a very good horse, but because he is very smart, he knows how to push buttons to see how far he can go, so a potential adopter needs to establish the rules right away and let him know who is in charge!
