Pearl is a 2011 Tennessee Walking Horse mare who stands at 15 hands tall and weighs 996lbs.
Pearl is a beautiful mare who fits in with a mixed herd of mares and geldings. Pearl is insulin resistant and prone to laminitis. To stay sound, Pearl will need a dry lot with no grass access, low starch feed and a grass mix hay with no alfalfa. Pearl is gentle and affectionate she will stand quietly and enjoys being groomed. Pearl is currently barefoot but she will need therapeutic shoes and pads to help provide comfort in the pasture and when riding. She is not sound to ride without the added support of shoes and pads. With proper hoof care, Pearl is sound to be ridden. She will stand to be mounted both from the ground and a mounting block. She direct reins but could learn to neck rein, she is easy to get going, turn, stop and back up. On the trail, Pearl will both lead and follow. Pearl is a wonderful girl with a lot to offer any family who is willing to provide her with the special care she requires.
