CURRENT RIDER LEVEL: Beginner Nyx is a 1999 Tennessee Walking Horse mare who stands at 15 hands tall and weighs 912 lbs. Nyx is a wonderful mare who holds her own in a mixed herd of mares and geldings. Nyx is gentle and calm both in hand and under saddle. She was brought to us after showing some signs of weakness in her hind end. She may no longer be a safe choice for a heavy rider and long trails with steep hills, but we have found her to be very comfortable to ride around the farm on flat ground. Nyx stands perfectly still to be groomed, tacked and mounted. Under saddle, she is very smooth to ride. Nyx neck reins, direct reins, is responsive to voice and leg cues and she will stop and turn with no issues. Nyx is an easy and safe ride in the arena, on trails around the farm and she's traffic safe too. She is a perfect option for children to learn on or beginner riders. Nyx will fit in nicely with any family looking for a safe horse for their family.
