The chestnut mare on the bottom left is a 24-year-old who didn’t winter well in the herd. Now that the grass is starting to come up, she’s looking a little better.
Story:
Another call about someone who lost control over their herd of horses. I’m sure the woman who owned the horses had the best of intentions. She started breeding and kept many of the horses herself. As time passed, she grew older, and was able to handle them less, than developed Dementia, and forgot to feed and care for some of them. Somewhere even left stalls. Many of the horses were found in poor condition. Some were euthanized. These three may have a chance . Please help us get the word out and hope they tug at someone’s heart.
