In the evenings I have a routine where I open the barn gate and let the horses in their stalls. It did not take but a day for her to figure out which stall was hers and to stand in it until I got to close the gate. She is very trusting. When she first came here she was very spooky, after gaining her trust she will look for me to guidance in scary scenarios (like the first time she saw a tarp)!" All Whippersnapper horses are too young to start undersaddle and will 110+ days of professional in hand training before competition and adoption! A history of good horsemanship, the ability to provide sufficient care with good vet, farrier and peer references are important. If you are a first-time horse owner, we will require you to board at a facility for the first year while you learn more about care. We encourage everyone to take advantage of riding lessons.
